In this post I am giving a review about very popular MLM opportunity Global Domains International - GDI.

GDI launched in 2000 and quickly became a big phenomenon in online marketing world. There is a great idea and adventure of founders Michael Starr and  Alan Ezeir behind it I am not going to re-write here, this all can be read on website.ws homepage under section ".ws story".

Like said, Global Domains International is a MLM business.

• The products are .ws domain, hosting, sitebuilder, e-mail addresses on your .ws domain, wordpress plugin.
• The price to join is $10 a month or $40 a month for GDI premium. Still most of members take regular account for $10.
• The payplan is 5 level deep unlimited level matrix with minimum 50% payout, GDI premium pays out 75%. In addition to this there are bonuses for heavy hitters like $100 bonus for every 5 members referred in a week.

Let´s take a look te the product line. .ws domain is considered as the shortened form of "website" meaning that if you order .ws domain you have your very own Internet address you can make money with.

What most of GDI members do not notice is that .ws domains are available for purchase through other domain registrars too, f.e. for $14.99 a year in GoDaddy.

Another point: when I tried GDI hosting, I discovered that I can upload only index page and not a welcome or thankyou page.

It means that for $120 a year I get .ws domain, email addresses and hosting for just my index page while taking GoDaddy Linux hsoting I get a .com domain for $1.99 and get to host unlimited websites for about $100 a year.

Conclusion: Though GDI is advertised as the provider of your own Internet address there are much more cheaper anf flexible solutions to get your own Internet address plus email addressses from other registrars.

People join Global Domains International because of the income potential.

The basic idea of pay plan is: 5 level deep matrix pays out $1 per person unlimited wide. This is illustrated by 6-minutes famous .ws movie. This movies is actually a great one and id showing that if you refer 5 people who each refre 5 the finally you are earning $3905 a month because you have 3905 people in your downline.

Truth is, there are some marketers who earn 5 figures a month with GDI but regular GDI members face the problem of attrition. They can not duplicate the success of leaders and can not offer similar incentives like paying the way in. GDI has probably much more than 100,000 members but only about 20-30 are on weekly leaderboard with 5+ new recruits.

As the next conclusion here comes the paradox: People are not interested in GDI products like with any other MLM opportunity, they are interested in money. When they see they can not make money they quit.

Global Domains International  has little payout but people still join this company because they love to dream even though that dream becomes to reality for only fraction to them. 

What is the solution when inventing a similar company is not solution?

My solution is a business that has much higher payout and in long term is much more affordable than Global Domains International. The solution is not MLM but the business that can pay you $100 instantly with only single 1 person sponsored and not when you have 100 in your downline.
